Community/LPFM Radio Tuner Project

Current Players

The CRT Project is a low cost streaming audio player project for community and low power FM radio stations. With a few bits of information and a few graphics provided by the station, I can have an app submitted to the App Store in just a few days. This is offered for $350 to non-profit stations for the basic app. Customization is added cost. The players are free to listeners.

The on-going development of the Community Radio Tuner Project is partially funded by donations from stations and listeners. Please considering making a donation today.

Requirements

In order to keep costs down, I ask the station to provide the graphics and text for the player. All graphics need to be 72 dpi and png format.
  • Icon.png 57x57 pixel version of logo to display on the iPhone
  • Icon512.png 512x512 version of Icon.png for AppStore use (must be identical to Icon.png)
  • Default.png 320x460 - this is the main application screen without the listen switch or volume control. Recommend using logo and identity.
  • StationInfo.txt - Short text for application info screen
  • StationInfo.png 320x460 - (optional) The app info screen can be a graphic instead of text.
  • AppStore.txt - Long text for iTunes application screen. Apple is not enforcing the 700 character limit so this can be very description.
  • High Quality Stream - 128Kbps stereo stream for WiFi (optional)
  • Media Quality Stream - 64 to 96Kbps stream for WiFi (optional)
  • Low Quality Stream - 64Kbps or below for 3G and Edge (required)
  • Station request phone number - (optional)
  • Play/Stop button graphics - 65x65 pixel png (optional)
